The cottages offer a private terrace with stunning views of Island Lake and the Outeniqua Mountains. It feels so peaceful and relaxing. The spacious garden apartment is equipped with everything we needed, like a full bathroom, kitchenette, and even a toaster. It made our stay more convenient. The rooms are air-conditioned and have kitchenettes, which was great for preparing meals and keeping the kids cool in the summer heat. The en suite bathroom had a bath and a shower, providing options for everyone's preferences. Having a private balcony or patio in the rooms added a nice touch and allowed us to enjoy the fresh air.
We found the 2-plate stove in the spacious ground-floor apartment a bit small for our cooking needs. However, some guests might still find it sufficient for their needs.

The room had a jaw-dropping view of the adjacent park's reed beds and the bird feeders provided endless entertainment. Roger and Greta were super knowledgeable about the area, offering helpful tips. The cottage offered the peace and tranquility we needed, with stunning views. The host was attentive and friendly. The room was stylish, comfortable, and had everything we needed and more. The property had free wi-fi, free parking, and an outdoor dining area. It was an ideal getaway for hiking, cycling, canoeing, fishing, and more. Adult-only and express check-in/-out made for a hassle-free experience. We had a great stay and will definitely be back for longer next time.

The staff, especially Greta, were incredibly helpful and made us feel welcome. We loved sitting outside and enjoying breakfast while watching the birds. The attention to detail in the rooms and the beautiful garden added a special touch to our stay.
The breakfast option could have been improved with more variety.

We had an amazing Easter break at this hotel! The staff warmly welcomed us and even upgraded our room for free. The accommodation was spacious, clean, and well-equipped. We had everything we needed, including reliable wifi. The location was perfect, with a beautiful view from the terrace. We were able to enjoy the nearby hiking trail and easily explore the interesting towns and wildlife sanctuaries in the area. a fantastic experience!
The only downside was that the steps up to our cottage were a bit challenging, especially for someone with underlying health issues. However, the stunning view across the lake made up for it.

The view from our room was absolutely jaw-dropping, overlooking the beautiful reed beds of the adjacent park. We were entertained by the birds at the feeders right outside our room. Roger and Greta, our hosts, provided us with amazing tips on things to do in the area and their knowledge of the flowers and trees on the property was mind-blowing. The location of the property, nestled by a stunning lake, was perfect and easy to access. The accommodation itself, like a cozy tiny house, made us feel right at home. Greta, our host, was super helpful and always there for us if we needed anything. We highly recommend this place for a peaceful and relaxing getaway.
